About us
Gyaanam (ज्ञानम्) is the Sanskrit word for knowledge. We chose the name as a promise: the day’s news, turned into knowledge you can carry into the exam hall.
The team behind Gyaanam knows this exam inside out. We have been through every stage of it, from Prelims to the Interview, and we have spent years guiding aspirants at some of India’s leading UPSC institutions.
You will not find our names or photos here. That is deliberate. In this field, teachers turn into brands, and the material becomes an afterthought. We would rather be judged by tomorrow morning’s edition.

Why current affairs
Ask anyone who has cleared this exam with good scores in the GS papers: current affairs is where the real difference is made. Year after year, Prelims and Mains lean harder on the news. The syllabus tells you what to study. The newspaper decides what gets asked.
Yet it is the part of preparation the market serves worst. Most current-affairs material is compilation: hundreds of pages a month, summaries lifted from everywhere, everything included because choosing is hard work. Most of it is never asked in any exam. It does not build understanding. It only costs you time.
That is why Gyaanam does one thing, every day: news analysis done with care. We picked the part of preparation that makes the most difference, and we decided to do it justice.
You already have too much to read. The last thing you need is more content. What you need is understanding: the day’s news made clear, ready before your day starts, at a price every aspirant can afford.
What we have decided not to do
We do not cover everything. Choosing what to skip is most of the work. On a quiet news day you may get three articles, not thirty. We will not pad the day to look busy.
We do not offer classes, mentoring programmes and everything else under the sun just to attract you. We keep one focus: daily current affairs. We see immense potential there.
